• School Design - C&R is a leader in innovative AND research based school design. C&R has intimate knowledge and experience with the high standard research as well the complicated federal and state legislations, policies, and mandates (ex. No Child Left Behind, IDEA). • School Management - C&R specializes in school management and “turn around.” C&R consists of team members with significant expertise (from the school level to the state level) in student achievement, school leadership development, finance, compliance, teaching and learning, curriculum design, special education, community relations, and staff development. Our staff includes former curriculum directors, superintendents, reading experts, and special education directors and consultants. Our main areas of expertise include (1) helping urban students improve competence in reading, writing, mathematics, and in learning capacity, (2) developing administrators and teachers into teams of expert instructors who help all students improve in the learning arts, (3) creating school environments where nurture and growth of children are necessary results and where student performance on academic assessments exceed the expectations and the rule typical of urban student performance, and (4) developing systems to ensure proper finance and compliance standards are met and exceeded.
  
  
• Intervention Programs - C&R has designed and operated programs aimed at specific goals to help “turn around” schools facing difficulties in various areas such as low testing scores.
  
  
• After-School Programs - C&R is an approved Supplemental Service Provider under the No Child Left Behind Legislation by the State Department of Education. C&R was part of the very first cohort approved by the state of Michigan and continues to expand to others states.
  
  
• Individual Courses - C&R has expertise in designing and implementing custom courses that schools need such as literacy, writing, mathematics, conflict resolution, learning strategies, etc.
  
  
• English as a Second Language - C&R has developed scientifically based programs to aid students from non-English backgrounds of all ages to quickly and effectively learn the English language.
  
  
• GED - C&R has extensive experience designing, developing and operating GED programs. To date, C&R has serviced hundreds of students through various prepatory programs. These programs are research based, high quality and high impact. C&R utilizes customized proprietary courses developed after years of field efforts and high academic research. Students are prepared through the use of various materials and strategies directed not only at the GED exam, but also directed toward accelerating the core skills and content areas needed for a high school diploma and beyond. Additionally, technology is integrated as well as individualized instruction to offer the support needed for success.
  
  
• Alternative Education - C&R prides itself in being a leader in the Alternative Education targeting underserved populations. Such students include court mandated, pre-adjudicated, drop-outs, at-risk, special education, incarcerated, and youth outside the education mainstream in general. Through highly research based and tested programs, C&R has built a reputation for quality and success. C&R has experience being a leading designer, program developer, staff trainer, and operator in this particular field. C&R has now led the development and operation of whole schools and programs that has serviced thousands of students over the past few years.
  
  
• Computer Applications - C&R has developed proprietary computer courses in coordination with leading IT firms to bring a new level of quality educational services to this sector. Typical computer courses for students result in low learning curves and low retention. As the Information Technology moves even faster, most students are left behind. C&R courses are developed in phases to increase flexibility (can be taken as stand alone or part of a larger series) and increase results. Additionally, fundamental skills of critical thinking, reading, writing, and mathematics are infused in the courses to more fully develop the student as a life long independent learner.

C&R has presented at schools like Hanneman Elementary and George Washington Carver (Detroit, MI), schools districts like Jackson Public Schools and Detroit Public Schools, and post-secondary institutions like Wayne State University, Eastern Michigan University, and Wayne County Community College.
